National Council of Jewish Women of Canada, Winnipeg

Mitzvah Day

Mitzvah Day is part of a global movement that began in the UK in 2005, and Winnipeg Section introduced it to our city in 2019. This city-wide social action event brings together Winnipeggers of all ages and backgrounds each November to devote one day to good deeds that benefit the entire community.

Mitzvah Day strengthens relationships among dozens of local organizations, and we celebrate the shared value of tikkun olam – repairing the world through acts of kindness.
