Backpack Project

Every year section members pack approximately two hundred backpacks for children between the ages of 4 and 12 for Jewish Family and Child Service and Ephraim’s Place. The recipients are children in need, some living with their mothers in transitional or temporary residences after fleeing from abusive home situations.

The backpacks are filled with school supplies and are given to the recipient children. These children now have “something of their own” which brings them comfort in a time of crisis and upheaval.

Donations and / or sponsorships for backpacks or school supplies help make this project possible.
